We are the General Angels 2230 robotics team from Herzliya handesaim High School, competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC).
The FIRST program in which the team participates is an inspiring program that encourages children and youth to become leaders in science and technology. FIRST's robotics programs, based on hands-on learning, involve them working collaboratively to solve an annual robotics challenge.
FIRST has a proven impact on continuing education in the fields of science and technology. FIRST graduates lead in the elite technology units of the IDF, in the engineering faculties of leading universities, in high-tech and in leadership roles later in life.
All of the team's work - planning, programming, designing and building the robot - is done by high school students, accompanied by a team of volunteer mentors. Beyond technological achievements, the group reinforces values of teamwork, leadership, creativity, real-time problem solving, takes an active part in strengthening the values of science and technology in the community.
The uniqueness of the group is that the group integrates children with special needs, and emphasizes the importance of acceptance of the other in the fields of innovation and technology.
we finished in second place in the national competition that took place on march 25-27, and were selected as one of the 20 best teams in the world! In three weeks we will fly to the world finals in Houston, Texas, to represent Israel on the world stage!
We are looking for financial support to cover the costs of travel, transportation, and participation. Any donation over 5000 NIS will earn recognition on the group's social networks, and any donation over 10000 NIS will also earn the donor's publication on the team's clothing and robot.
