We are MISHMASH, a diverse and competitive teen robotics team from the Jusidman Science Center for Youth in Be’er Sheva, proudly representing the Negev region of Israel.

We’re more than a robotics team. We’re a group of teens learning how to lead, solve problems, bounce back from failure, and support one another.

 We believe resilience isn’t something you’re born with — it’s something you build. We embrace failure as part of learning, reflect on every experience, and push ourselves to be better not just in technology, but in how we work, think, and collaborate.

In a time when Israel faces so much negative global attention, we offer a story of hope, resilience, and unity. By supporting us, you’re helping us continue that journey and proving that teens from the Negev have a powerful voice to share with the world.

Why This Moment Matters

This year, after months of designing, building, coding, and problem-solving, we were honored to win the Inspire Award at the Israeli National Championship — not just for building a high-performing robot, but for demonstrating exceptional teamwork, creativity, and community impact.

That win earned us an invitation to the World Championship in Houston, Texas, taking place April 16–19. A goal we’ve chased all season, and a rare opportunity to represent Israel and the Negev on the global stage.

Getting to Houston is a huge financial challenge. Flying an entire team, shipping our robot, and covering lodging and logistics is expensive. But this year, it's about more than just robotics.

Right now, as Israel faces increasing global scrutiny, we see this as a chance to share a different side of our country — one of youth, innovation, and unity. We’re a team from the South, from all kinds of backgrounds, working together to build not just machines — but a better future.
