Yaakov was a soldier in the regular service of the Golani Brigade and fell in battle during a clash with terrorists in southern Lebanon on the eve of the Sukkot holiday, the 14th of Tishrei, October 16, 2024, at the age of 21.

The memorial will be established at the entrance to the Amnon community, in the place where he lived in recent years, overlooking the Sea of Galilee, which he loved so much.

Yaakov, who grew up in a religious family in Jerusalem, but chose to follow his heart and draft into the IDF.

The memorial will honor his story, bravery, and contribution to the state and will serve as a place of remembrance and appreciation for his family, friends, and the general public.
