My beloved younger brother, Santiago Z"L, was 26 years old and a lone soldier who served Israel with great courage and dedication. Santiago immigrated to Israel at the age of 19 to serve in the army as a lone soldier in the Nahal Brigade's reconnaissance unit, where he performed exceptional and meaningful service. On October 7th, he was called up for reserve duty, and after a long, dedicated, and courageous service in Gaza, which lasted almost a year, the mental toll of the war took its toll. Unfortunately, a few days ago, while still on reserve duty, we lost him in a difficult and quiet battle—a battle we do not see and do not talk about enough—the battle of the soul. These days, my mother and I are going through an unbearably difficult time. Alongside the immense pain over Santiago's passing, our mother Ruth, who raised us with love as a single parent, is struggling to find peace and stability after the tragic loss of her youngest son. Our mother now lives in Spain due to the harsh regime in Venezuela, and after losing her son, she wishes to immigrate to Israel to be close to me and to visit Santiago's resting place at the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery in Tel Aviv. The years in Europe have been hard for her without employment opportunities, and she is dealing with immense financial and emotional hardships. Your help would allow her to start a new chapter, make Aliyah, rent a modest apartment, and cover basic needs like food, medical care, and therapy, providing financial stability to help her find a bit of peace and tranquility within the pain. We are deeply grateful for any contribution, big or small, and for your support in this difficult journey. Any help will assist Ruth in finding solace in the Land of Israel that is so dear to our hearts. Thank you very much, Sebastian
