Forging a Future: Healing PTSD Through Art

From Trauma to Craftsmanship – A Journey of Survival & Resilience

I never thought my life would come to this.

Hi, my name is Adam, I’m 43 years old, a creator, performer, and craftsman based in Tel Aviv. For most of my adult life, I was constantly building—whether it was music, businesses, or communities. I spent my 20s and 30s touring Europe with my band, running two successful businesses in France—one a cozy bistro, the other an alternative concert venue where musicians and misfits found a home.

Then, in 2015, everything changed.
A brutal assault left me with severe PTSD, a condition that shattered my world. I lost my ability to work, my confidence, my independence, my social skills, my ability to maintain relationships, my sense of belonging.

I went from running two thriving businesses to being unable to even leave my house. PTSD didn’t just take my confidence—it took my ability to support myself. For years, I have been surviving on disability benefits, struggling financially while trying to rebuild my life.

For years, I fought to find a way forward, failing time after time. And then, I discovered jewelry-making.

Working with my hands, shaping raw materials into something meaningful, became more than a skill—it became a form of healing. The act of taking something broken and making it whole again gave me a sense of purpose that PTSD had taken away.

This campaign is about taking that first step toward a future I can build for myself.

PTSD in Israel – A Growing Crisis

PTSD isn’t just my battle. It’s a national crisis.

After years of COVID, war, and political instability, PTSD and depression in Israel are at an all-time high. The mental health system is overwhelmed, and thousands of people—especially men—never seek help due to stigma, shame, or lack of awareness.

I want to change that.

This campaign isn’t just about selling jewelry—it’s about proving that PTSD doesn’t have to be the end of the road.

100 Handmade Meteorite Pendants – My First Step Forward

To start this journey, I’m creating an exclusive limited collection of 100 pendants, each one handcrafted by me, using authentic Muonionalusta meteorites set in minimalist fine silver or gold-plated brass.

Each pendant represents something greater than just jewelry. It’s a step forward.

Why Meteorites?

They are ancient (older than Earth itself), rarer than diamonds, and one-of-a-kind—just like every PTSD survivor’s journey.

Every single meteorite pendant is different. No two Widmanstätten patterns are the same—they are formed by the slow cooling of iron in deep space over millions of years. That process, of withstanding pressure and time to create something unique, speaks to the experience of living with PTSD.

Each pendant is a symbol of resilience, survival, and transformation.

The Long-Term Goal: A Studio for PTSD Survivors

I’m not stopping at just making jewelry for myself.

If this campaign succeeds, it will be the foundation for something bigger—a studio where others with PTSD can come to learn, create, and heal.

🔹 A community space for those struggling with PTSD.
🔹 Workshops that teach real-life coping skills through art and craftsmanship.
🔹 A place to regain confidence, rebuild, and reconnect with life.

I know firsthand how hard it is to start over when PTSD has stolen everything. But I also know that creating something with your hands can help rebuild what trauma has broken.

This is bigger than just jewelry. It’s about proving that life doesn’t end with PTSD.
