Join My Fundraiser for Israel’s Orphans: Honoring the Legacy of Our Fallen Heroes
Hi, I’m Stella Savetsky, and in lieu of gifts for my Bat Mitzvah, I’m dedicating my tzedakah project to raising funds for the orphans of Israel’s fallen soldiers through the IDF Widows & Orphans Organization (IDFWO). These children have lost so much, and I want to help make sure they don’t miss out on celebrating their Bar or Bat Mitzvah—their special milestone into adulthood. My goal is to raise $36,000 for the Platinum Sponsorship Package, which will provide everything they need to participate in life-changing programs.
Why This Is So Important to Me
The children of Israel’s fallen soldiers deserve our love and support. Their parents made the ultimate sacrifice to keep Israel safe, and it’s now up to us to make sure their children feel cared for and supported, especially at such a critical moment in their lives. With your help, we can ensure these children get the opportunity to celebrate their Bar/Bat Mitzvah with joy and pride, just like any other child.

By contributing to this fundraiser, you’ll be helping me sponsor a child through the IDFWO’s Platinum Sponsorship Package, which includes:
- A Bar/Bat Mitzvah Trip to North America: This three-week journey will allow them to experience cultural, educational, and recreational activities that foster healing and resilience.
- A Meaningful Bar/Bat Mitzvah Gift: We will ensure they receive tefillin (for boys) or silver candlesticks (for girls) to mark their special day.
- The Bar/Bat Mitzvah Ceremony at the Kotel: Your donation will sponsor a child’s participation in the ceremony at the Western Wall, where they will be honored by dignitaries and receive a special gift.
- "Otzma" Support Camp for Orphans: These camps will provide emotional and social support through activities designed to boost their confidence and help them bond with other children who have faced similar challenges.
- A Scholarship for Higher Education: Your contribution will help provide a four-year scholarship, ensuring they can pursue their academic dreams.
- The "Talah" Personalized Development Program: This program will give them mentorship and support to develop their individual skills and passions over the next three years.
