The past year has been one of the most challenging years many of us can remember. Pain, confusion, fear, and loss have driven many of us to despair. On both sides, people have lost faith in peace, overpowered by those who seek to escalate the war.
Out of a sense of urgency for action, we decided to produce a large, creative, and hope-filled event—"Woodstock for Peace!"
Within just a few days, hundreds of activists and supporters, thirsty for hope and peace, joined us with full dedication. In a short time, an independent grassroots movement was built, becoming a home for all those who previously didn’t find a home they could relate to, in order to raise their voices and call for peace.
After dozens of local events across the country, where people took the initiative to spread peace within their own circles, the big moment has arrived: the time for all of us to gather in one place—two thousand people calling for peace through music and art and giving tremendous hope that there is another way and that the power to create change is in our hands.
Without looking back, we organized the largest consciousness-shifting event ever held in our region. We faced numerous bureaucratic and logistical challenges to succeed in creating, in the midst of a war, a large and safe space to talk about peace.
Out of great importance to make the event accessible to all populations, we sold many discounted tickets—more than was feasible given the high production costs. Additionally, at the last minute, we were required to cover additional security expenses, which we had to absorb in order to open the gates of the event.
Now, as the moment has arrived and everything is ready—dozens of artists and facilitators, hundreds of activists, and about two thousand participants coming together to call for peace—we are asking for your help to cover the remaining production costs, each according to their ability.
We have made it this far thanks to the immense generosity and support of the community both in Israel and around the world. We are deeply grateful to you, and we still need you with us—to cover the production costs and continue working together for peace and an end to the war.
