To my extended family, Am Yisrael,
I grew up in a large Haredi family where struggling to make ends meet was just part of our everyday reality. My parents did everything in their power to give us what they could, but when I turned 14, my whole world turned upside down.
A severe crisis tore my parents apart, ending in a messy divorce and shattering our family. In an instant, before I even had the chance to be a normal teenager, I had to step up and be the adult of the house. My mother was left to raise the kids all on her own, so I went out and took on two jobs, working from dawn to dusk just to help keep a roof over our heads and take some of the heavy weight off her shoulders.
Years went by in a blur of endless hustle, heavy responsibilities, and constant pressure. Despite my background and a lot of pushback from those around me, I decided to draft into a combat unit because I genuinely wanted to give back to my country. I served as a combat soldier and a commander—until I was injured in the line of duty. That injury led to surgery and abruptly ended my path as a warrior. It was a massive, heartbreaking blow.
When I transitioned back to civilian life, I figured the hardest parts were finally in the rearview mirror. But life threw me another curveball. While still juggling family responsibilities, mounting debts, and financial stress, I decided—on the advice of my Rabbi, Rabbi David Abuchatzeira—to turn over a new leaf and build a home and family of my own.
But right at that new beginning, I was diagnosed with a severe internal disease.
This illness turned my life upside down all over again. It requires grueling, ongoing treatments, incredibly expensive medications, and endless medical bills—many of which aren't covered by standard insurance. On top of that, I need extra therapies just to cope with the heavy physical and emotional toll this condition takes on my body.
Battling this disease makes it nearly impossible for me to hold down a steady job and make a decent living. Every time I try to get back on my feet, my illness knocks me back down and reminds me of my limits. Meanwhile, the bills keep piling up, the debts are drowning me, and I’m fighting tooth and nail just to provide for the family I built and pay for the treatments I desperately need.
I’m not asking for a life of luxury.
I am just begging for a fighting chance.
A chance to clear these crushing debts, cover my medical treatments, and finally find a little peace of mind. More than anything, I want to live with dignity and be the husband and provider my family needs me to be.
If my story speaks to you, I’m asking you to please open your heart. Every single donation, no matter how small, is a massive step toward a stable life for me. And even if you aren't in a position to chip in, just sharing this appeal could reach the exact right person and completely change my reality.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone choosing to stand by my side in this journey.
